A number of trades between Premiership clubs dominated the week's transfers. James McFadden swapped the Everton bench for Birmingam in a £5m deal. Lassana Diarra has now managed to agitate a multi-million pound transfer out of both Chelsea and Arsenal in half a season to join Portsmouth until a 'big club' want him - go figure. Bolton spent a few of the Anelka million on Gretar Steinsson and Matt Taylor.

Aston Villa;
There isn’t exactly a lot to write about in connection with Aston Villa and transfers in Week 3 of the January Transfer window. There are still no new faces on the staff. One piece of good news was Martin Laursen agreeing a new deal. The Dane is all set to sign and...

Birmingham City;
Week 3 of the January Transfer window produced feelings of relief around St Andrew’s. Alex McLeish finally landed his two key targets that had been blocked the week before. Everton striker James McFadden was obviously the key signing for the new management...

Kevin Keegan’s return to Newcastle United was cheered almost as loudly by Blackburn fans as it was by the Toon Army as it meant that Mark Hughes would be staying at Ewood Park. The former Welsh international coach was being strongly linked with a move to St James’...

Bolton Wanderers;
Bolton Wanderers are far too busy losing 2-1 at home to Blackburn Rovers on Sunday (January 13) to be bothered by transfer tittle-tattle. Good thing then that the press ignore them completely in terms of malicious rumour and gossip. Perhaps they ...

Chelsea;
Since the two clubs get on so well, how about a bit of business between Chelsea and Barcelona to start the third week of January? The Sunday Mirror (January 13) forgets all about the Mourinho-inspired feud of recent years to report that Chelsea will make a bid...

Everton;

Fulham;
Fulham’s frailties were all too plainly obvious against Arsenal at the weekend and Roy Hodgson was quick to spot this problem when he took on the role. He will be glad that some of his hard work in the transfer market may well be paying off and will hope to eradicate...

There’s only one transfer preying on Liverpool fans’ minds and that is the one surrounding the club’s potential sale from Tom Hicks and George Gillett to Dubai International Capital. What started out as an argument between rough owner and a touchy manager has...
