Tottenham: punters quick to back Jol for sack

Bookmakers bet365 have cut their odds on Martin Jol being the first Premiership manager to lose his job this season after Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat by Everton.

Spokesman Steve Freeth said: "It looks like Martin Jol could finally be winning something this season after all the money he's spent in the summer - the dreaded sack race!

"We did think it was a little too soon to press the panic button at White Hart Lane and went 14/1 on Jol after the Everton defeat, but the stampede that ensued saw his price drop to 15/2 in plenty quick time."
