Championship 2008-09 Preview - Preston North End

The appointment of Alan Irvine brought about a marked improvement in Preston’s form last season, while the opening of a new stand at Deepdale provides further cause for optimism going into the new campaign. There have been remarkably few changes in personnel over the summer but, although the signings of Barry Nicholson and Ross Wallace look decent enough, the lack of a new striker could prove costly.
