Fulham vs Manchester City: Premier League Prediction Panel 2008/9 - preview and predictions

Fulham moved into the top half of the division last weekend after holding high-flying Aston Villa 0-0 at Villa Park; and the Cottagers could well have won the game.  The week before Fulham held Liverpool at Anfield.  A feature of Roy Hodgson's changes to Fulham is that they concede very few goals, only three teams have scored more than once in a game against Fulham this season - and no-one since September.  So expect Fulham to keep things tight and hit City on the break.

Manchester City has recently played poorly away from home, with the Schalke win the most impressive away performance since Sunderland were thumped 3-0 in late August.  To help improve results Mark Hughes has clearly done some remedial work on City's defence.  As a result City has conceded just once in the last four games.  So this could be a game between two teams that are happy to defend solidly and wait for opportunities on the break.  0-0 anyone?

Given its budget City start as favourites, but Fulham saves its best from for west London.

Fulham vs Manchester City; Kick Off 12:45pm 06 Dec 2008
