Squarefootball fantasy football invitation 2010/11

Bookmark and Share

I saw more action and excitement this summer down at the mortuary than I did at the World Cup in South Africa. There was also a better atmosphere between me and my ex-girlfriend than there was inside the grounds, thanks to the constant drone of those awful vuvuzelas. And as for entertainment, I think Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me won by a country mile.

Yes the 2010 World Cup was a bit of a letdown. England, Italy and France were all major disappointments, the big names like Rooney, Messi and Drogba all failed to deliver the goods and the final between Spain and Holland did nothing for the sport to warrant the nickname the beautiful game.

But let’s look on the bright side. In less than a month’s time the most exciting and action-packed league in the world kicks off, the English Premier League. The hard-working fans will be in good voice to give England’s fallen heroes a hot reception, there promises to be goals galore and more talking points than ever. We will also see the likes of Rooney, Lampard and Lennon doing for their clubs what they couldn’t do for their country, scoring, winning and getting us off of our feet.

And to make the Premier League even more exciting for you hardy souls, we at are inviting each and every one of you to join us in the battle to be crowned squarefootball’s fantasy football champion.

Last season more than 300 people competed for the title but this year we want even more. So if you believe you are a Carlo Ancelotti in the making or you think you can do better than Sir Alex Ferguson then we want you to prove it.

The game is totally free to enter and easy to use. Just register your details at pick your team and when prompted to join a league please enter this unique code: 148305-43452

You can choose your team now and make numerous changes up until August 14 when the game’s transfer system kicks in. Please make sure you read all the terms and conditions and take the time to understand the rules of the game.

It doesn’t matter where you’re from or who you support, we want you in the league. So, as Norwich City’s most famous fan Delia Smith once said: “Where are you? Let’s be ‘avin’ you. Come on!”
