Predict the Premier League: Wigan topple Sunderland

Bookmark and Share

There are some things in football that I thought I would never see. Bradford City reaching a cup final, non-league Luton Town beating Premier League giants Norwich in the FA Cup and Wigan topping the Predict the Premier League table.

Yes, you've read that right. After leading the table for about 20 weeks straight, Sunderland's Tony Ratton has been toppled from their perch by Wigan's Jimmy Shine. The Latics are one point clear of Sunderland at the top with former Predict the Premier League winner Manchester City's Callum Rothwell just a point behind the Black Cats.

The title race is now hotter than Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan with only 10 points separating the top six clubs.

Down at the foot of the table we have a few new names. Peter Holland has replaced Jack Heaney as Stoke City's representative and Apoorva Ankur is our new Chelsea fan. They have a bit of work to do in order to escape the bottom three but there's plenty of time to put a run together.

Here is how the overall table looks right now.
